What is Family Association?

The SJMS Family Association consists of all SJMS families, teachers, and staff. By being part of the SJMS community, you are a member of the Family Association. As a group, we initiate and organize social, enrichment, and fundraising projects. We organize such events as Grandparents and Special Guests' Day, Winter Festival, Book Fairs, and much more. Our events strive to benefit and enhance our school community.

 

 

MONTHLY MEETINGS

We invite all SJMS parents, teachers, and staff to attend our monthly meetings.

Meetings are held at school the last Monday of every month at 5:30pm.

Babysitting is available on request.

 

 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

If you have not done so already, please print out, fill out, and submit to the office the volunteer form.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Join us every first Friday of every month for Carpool Coffee, starting Friday, September 3.

Come for a few minutes after drop off or stay the entire time.

It’s a great way to get to know other parents in the community.

 

The Fall Scholastic Book Fair is coming up—September 14-17.

Purchase books and gifts for friends, family, and your child’s classroom.

f you have some time during the day, volunteers are still needed.

We still URGENTLY need volunteers to serve hot lunch during the month of September.

Start making plans for our annual Grandparents and Special Guests’ Day, which will be

held on Friday, October 8. Invitations will be going out in early September.

It is a wonderful opportunity for your child to share his or her classroom with a special guest.

 The SJMS Family Association currently works on various school projects which are either

self-supporting or revenue-producing endeavors. Most recently, our work has included:

 

Running the Publishing Center

Welcoming New Families

Organizing Winter Festival

Coordinating Room Parents

Coordinating Clothing Sales

Coordinating Book Fairs

Sponsoring and Organizing Back-to-School Kickoff Celebration and New Parent Orientation

Disbursing Funds for Extracurricular Activities and Competitions

Sponsoring and Coordinating Interest Fair Judges' Dinner

Sponsoring Teacher Appreciation Gifts and Luncheon

Sponsoring and Organizing Grandparents and Special Guests' Day

Supporting Administration and Board of Trustees as needed
