Lunch Service
Coordinator
At SJMS, hot
lunches are catered by an outside vendor. The Lunch Service
Coordinator receives monthly menus, creates order forms and
accepts and tracks lunch orders from families. This part
time position requires approximately 2 hours per day from
10:30-2:30 with approximately 3 additional hours per month
for record keeping. It is available as a work equity
position so payroll can be applied to monthly tuition
payments.
In addition,
daily responsibilities of this position include:

Checking in
daily delivery from caterer

Light prep
work and warming daily lunch entrees
-
·
Portioning and
serving lunches to elementary students
-
·
Cleaning
kitchen and compiling catering company’s equipment for
pickup
The ideal
candidate will be able to:

Handle all
communications with lunch caterer

·
Maintain
control of lunch line while treating all students with
respect
-
·
Track menus
and orders placed by families
-
·
Regularly
collects, records, and forwards payments to bookkeeper
-
·
Work
efficiently and independently

Part Time School
Librarian
To be considered for this
position, applicants will:

Have a minimum of a
Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science.
-
Have a minimum of 2
years experience working in a library within a school
setting.

Have the ability to
follow established cataloging procedures.
-
Demonstrate proficiency
in Microsoft Windows OS and of Microsoft Office
applications.
In addition, the ideal
candidate will:

Show familiarity
of Concourse OPAC or other library catalog software
-
Exhibit knowledge of
Montessori practices
-
Demonstrate patience
and respect, as well as, a passion for learning.
Job Responsibilities include:

Maintain, assist, and
implement instruction as a resource person to teachers,
staff, students and volunteers.

Plan and implement
story time with younger students.

Repair and/or replace
damaged books.
-
Maintain current
inventory of up-to-date books while keeping within an
established budget.

Catalog new books
-
Keep the school library clean, orderly and efficient.
-
Monitor classroom
library time, which includes helping students locate
books while managing check in/out procedures.

Recruit, orient and
schedule parent volunteers to assist with classes.

Enjoy working with
children of all ages, as students at our school range
from 3 – 14 years old.
