SJMS Art Studio

SJMS Art Studio by SJMS Art teacher, Roxanne Holonitch

This summer, the art room was transformed into an Art Studio. With some sweat, elbow grease, paint, and heavy lifting, the space has been re-energized!

There is also a variety of new equipment that students will have the opportunity to explore including a dress form and sewing machine, a giant loom, and a child-sized easel.

To give our students an opportunity to explore and use this new space, the time has been added to the Special Subjects schedule for our Upper Elementary and Middle School levels. In this time, they are invited to use the art studio to create assignments that are connected to classroom assignments and projects. We are excited to make this time available to those classes to integrate art into other subject areas.
